Despite Christmas being just around the corner, we’re still getting heaps of really marvellous properties being added to the site. Clearly people are extremely keen to save money online with online estate agents before the expensive period of Christmas begins. This isn’t surprising given that if someone was trying to sell a £300,000 home, we’d save them around £5,000 compared to typical estate agent fees. I'm sure we'd all like to go and do our Christmas shopping safe in the knowledge that we’d just made ourselves such a large saving. It’s a no brainer. That kind of saving could be invested in some fantastic things like an ISA for your teenage child or a truly memorable festive holiday (or two) abroad. We heartily approve of either option.
So here’s a look at the homes of savvy sellers who will be doing their Christmas shopping with that they have saved themselves a bucket load of cash by avoiding unjustifiably high estate agent fees. Enjoy.
- When you think of mews houses you immediately think of London. They're quiet and often in hidden locations. They also have cute cottage-like qualities making them extremely popular and many in London sell for millions. However, this modern mews house for sale with us is in Brighton and is available for less than 1/3rd of a million, which seems very fair indeed given its obvious qualities. Given how congested Brighton has become, the owner cites the off street parking as being one of its biggest assets. We agree. The layout works perfectly, with both bedrooms a proper size and with the garden being perfect for city living – low maintenance, light and accessible via double doors.
- We also have a dream house for sale in Barnes, London. On a pretty tree lined street, the very large 4 bedroom house is located in a prime Barnes position at the head of the bend in the river, a stone’s throw away from the world famous St Paul’s Boys school. It really is in a stunning location. Like property number 1, the garden is particularly special, this one having false grass installed for easy maintenance. It’s plenty big enough to entertain in, to contain a trampoline in and to work in (it has an outside office/ Wendy house). Given how tranquil the whole property is, it’s easy to forget that Hammersmith is not far away, with roads like the A4 leading out of London present in it.
- If you’re a golf fan one of our newest properties definitely deserves your interest. Located in the west of St Andrews, you could walk to the famous golf course without breaking sweat. That’s handy not only for spectating but for playing because incredibly living here entitles you to a Links Ticket, which costs £190 and allows you to play on 7 courses which the Links Trust runs! In a cul de sac, it’s wonderfully quiet and it would be an idyllic place to raise children.
