This weekend, Chestnuts Field in Walthamstow will be welcoming Grillstock the largest BBQ festival in Europe.
With BBQ cooking demonstrations as well as bars, eating contests to find out who can eat hotdogs and wings the fastest and who can stomach the hottest chillies as well as a ‘King of the Grill’ competition in which teams must prove their barbecuing skills through seven different round, the festival's a must visit for any barbecue lover. With a Grillstock Smokehouse at the festival offering up pit-smoked meals, as well as serving Grillstock’s own brand of Pale Ale and welcoming the launch of Brooklyn Brewery’s new American Ale, there’s no chance of going hungry.
As well as the copious amounts of meat, there will also music from Fun Lovin’ Criminals, DJ Yoda, Cuban Brothers, Grandmaster Flash, and Razorlight.
With the festival starting out in 2010 in Bristol, it’s now spread out to Manchester as well as London, and also has six smokehouse restaurants – two in Bristol, alongside their Walthamstow, Bath, Leicester and Liverpool branches.
The festival will be running on both Saturday and Sunday, and you can either buy tickets for the whole weekend or just one day.
