Chapel Road, IP19
Swallows Corner is a 3/4 bedroomed period semi-detached cottage in the sought-after village of Blythburgh on the Heritage Coast. The property is only ten minutes’ drive from the iconic town of Southwold and also a short drive to Darsham rail station, which connects to London Liverpool Street.
The property boasts a large secure garden, a workshop area and summer house. It is in a central village location, yet it is quiet as it is away from the noise of the main road (A12). The property has economy seven heating and is double glazed throughout. New double-glazed windows were fitted last year on part of the rear elevation.
You enter the property through the lobby which has potential for a laundry/utility area with storage. The kitchen leads directly to a dining room which is conveniently located in the centre of this pretty cottage.
From the dining room you can access the spacious family room which has a beautiful view of the garden. The windows and outside side door to this room were newly installed last year. There is a charming patio area outside this room that catches the sun for most of the day. The patio and room are west facing, affording the opportunity to watch beautiful sunsets all year round, either outside in the summer or from the warmth of inside in the winter.
At the front of the property there is an office/study which could easily be used as a quiet 4th bedroom/guest room, further the room benefits from an original fire grate. The cosy snug provides a lovely view of the village, while the working fireplace will keep this room warm in the colder months.
The staircase leads to a large landing area and storage space. Leading from the landing there is a separate toilet and bath/shower room. Both double bedrooms at the front of the house benefit from views towards the estuary and have plenty of storage/wardrobe space.
At the rear of the property is a delightful third bedroom with a view of the garden and looks towards the famous Blythburgh Church.
There is ample off-road parking for three cars.
This lovely property is in need of some refurbishment. This property is not in a chain.

From the horse's mouth
What we love is the wonderful location, in a pretty and social village on the A12 (the main road in Suffolk). The church is famously known as the Cathedral of the Marshes and boasts a good social calendar as well as international music events. There is a busy pub in Blythburgh, The White Hart, which is a minutes walk away from the property, serving local Adnams beer and good food. Blythburgh has easy access to train services to London. There is a regular bus service from Blythburgh to Halesworth and Southwold which links to the train service. It is 10 minutes drive to Southwold and walking distance via public footpaths to the picturesque village of Walberswick.
